Ever wonder where to go for happy hour or to watch a game in Sacramento? Curious about the menus and deals around town and just about every restaurant you can think of? Look no further. Sacramento-based Cowtown Eats (LINK) has it all and more for those of you looking for a place to unwind for less after work. And let’s face it, who doesn’t fall into that category!
Founded in 2008 by Darrel Ng, a GOTG friend and fellow politico also in search of a fun, creative outlet, and let’s be honest, maybe an excuse to go to happy hour early and often, this blog has it all when it comes to happy hour in the river city. Darrel has taken it upon himself to personally visit every single restaurant on his blog, write up their menu and conveniently categorize them all by day of the week and in some cases by topic. It is a tough job, but someone has got to do it and here at GOTG we are glad he did!
This month in addition to his regular updates on cheap eats and drinks he has also provided tips on where to park on the grid (for free!) during the holiday season and continued to build on his Sunday and Monday night football deals section. The site also features a handy late night happy hour round-up, a definite value add!
So next time you are still at you desk daydreaming about getting out of your happy hour rut to check out a new restaurant check out Cowtown Eats!
EDITOR’s NOTE: Cowtown Eats is hosting a Happy Hour TONIGHT at Sweetwater to benefit Catholic Charities’ Adopt-a-Family for Christmas program. Hope to see you there! (LINK)
