Kimberly Garza, Founder/Principal of ATLAS Lab Inc.
Kimberly is at the forefront of Sacramento’s progress and rapidly changing skyline – her designs can be seen in several public parks, art installations and streetscapes throughout the grid. She was one of the primary the designers and advocates for the Truitt Bark Park in midtown Sacramento, and she designed the winning proposal for the Capitol Mall redesign competition. What’s more, she’s shaping the next generation by teaching advanced landscape architecture design at UC Davis. We can’t wait to see what she does next!

Sacramento Woman You Most Admire? Where do I begin? Congresswoman Doris Matsui, Jessica Kriegel, Erika Bjork, Sarah Ellis, Bernadette Austin, Amber Stott, Laine Himmelman, Nikky Mohanna, Estella Sanchez… All these women are strong, extremely smart and talented and are doing so much to transform and improve Sacramento life.
Fave Local Cause? Some of my favorite local causes include WEAVE, Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services and Sol Collective. WEAVE is an amazing resource for women in need; WEAVE provides a range of support help including domestic violence, sexual assault and sex trafficking. The Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services is another great local non-profit providing help to those in need ranging from material donations to education and immigration legal services. Sol Collective is a great community platform that promotes social justice through artistic, cultural and educational programming.
