May 18: Midtown Love
By Laura Braden
Live, work or play in midtown Sacramento? Then you won’t want to miss “Midtown Love” this Thursday, May 18!
Brought to the community by the Midtown Association, which builds and fosters culture, creativity and vibrancy in Sacramento’s urban core, Midtown Love is an indoor/outdoor celebration of the people, products and ideas that keep #midtownSac unique and eclectic.
- Thursday, May 18 – from 6-9pm
- Faces Nightclub, 2000 K Street
- Tickets: $70/per on Eventbrite. Price includes cocktails, bites and live entertainment.
- Dress code: Cocktail
From drag queens and a “Wall of Boom” to lip sync battles featuring some of the neighborhood’s best-loved-celebrity-characters, the night is a great chance to catch up with old friends and meet new neighbors.
Plus, did someone say raffle prizes? Attend for your chance to win a bicycle, memorabilia/tickets from local sports teams Sacramento River Cats, Sacramento Republic FC HQ and Team Store, and the Sacramento Kings, gift certificates to some of Midtown’s most popular restaurants and stores including Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates and Revolution Wines, a brew bike tour from Sac Brew Bike, a watch from Sharif Jewelers, and someone will win free car washes for a year from Harv’s Metro Car Wash!
I’m glad to see local organizations rejecting the old gala format – Midtown Love is a new type of annual event, focused on celebrating midtown Sacramento’s achievements while showcasing a new project each year.
Hope to see you all there!
