New Dates Announced for Cocktail Academy!
By Danielle Ball
I have a confession. I
am was that girl that ordered basic cocktails everywhere I went. On occasions where I’ve maybe consumed many of those cocktails, I may have even slurred that I wanted, “something fruity and pink” like my signature drink, the Dirty Shirley.
As I get older and a bit wiser, I’ve tried to learn what I like and am slowly becoming a bit more savvy. That’s where the Cocktail Academy at Hook and Ladder comes in.
For a small fee, you can spend the afternoon with spirit expert Chris Tucker expanding your knowledge about cocktails and the history behind them. He’ll teach you the origins and best uses for a selected spirit.
The best part? You’ll be testing those cocktails (for educational purposes!) and enjoying some delicious bites from Hook and Ladder while learning.
For a more in depth look at the classes, check out fellow Girl on the Grid, Laine’s write up of her experience here.
If you’re ready to go all in and stop drinking Dirty Shirleys, buy tickets here for the upcoming classes on June 11th and July 9th – the theme was just announced and you just might see me at the “Rum – Rhum – Cachaca” Class!
