Spring is officially here and if your spring break plans are to keep it local we have the perfect Spring bucket list for you! How many things can you check off of our list of 50 things TO-DO in Sacramento this Spring?

  1. Register yourself and your pup for the Sacramento SPCA Doggy Dash!
  2. Take a guided Wildflower Field Trip!
  3. Not a gardener? Make a terrarium with supplies from The Plant Foundry or learn how to grow healthy plants at a Spring Gardening Clinic with Soil Born Farms.
  4. Pick up these golden chocolate eggs for a special someone’s Easter basket from Ginger Elizabeth.
  5. Pick up some local honey to combat allergies.
  6. Take a trip to Folsom Lake to photograph the Lupine fields in all their glory.

  7. Support our #SMEBB team at WEAVE’s annual Walk-A-Mile in her shoes event, April 23.
  8. Put on an artsy dress and check out the Andy Warhol exhibit at the Crocker.
  9. Take in the arts at E. Claire Raley Studios (read our profile of Nicole McKeever here).

  14. Get tickets to a Sacramento Pro Rugby game at Bonney Field.

  16. Get your bike tuned up at the Sac Bike Kitchen for #MayisBikeMonth.
  17. Watch the Kings play the Thunder in their final home game at Sleep Train Arena, April 9.
  18. Spectate the Amgen Tour of California at the Capitol May 15-22nd.
  19. Take your Mom… (or aunt or sister) on the East Sac Garden Tour May 7-8.
  20. After a one-year hiatus, the twenty-third annual Pacific Rim Street Fest  is back on May 14.
  21. River City Food Bank’s Signature fundraising Event Empty Bowls will be on March 14th and 15th. Help raise awareness for the fight against hunger.
  22. Have a blast playing some great games on International Tabletop Day on April 30th.
  23. Buy a locally crafted trinket or goody and grab a beer at the Scout Market at Oak Park Brewery.
  24. Take the kiddos on the Easter Egg Express – 2.5 hour train ride, egg hunt plus entertainment!
  25. Sip & Swirl in the Spring at Zinfest on April 16th with some of Lodi’s top wineries.
  26. Grab a bite while enjoying one of Sacramento’s favorite parks as Food Truck Mania , every 2nd Friday of the month.
  27. Make a day trip up to Daffodil Hill.

  28. See man’s (and woman’s) best friend in all his glory at the Sacramento Dog Show.
  29. Have a day of fanciful facial hair and old trains, at the 5th Annual Norther CA Moustache and Beard Competition, April 2
  30. Indulge in fried foods and monster trucks at the Sacramento County Fair, May 26-30.
  31. Do your sun salutations in the sun, Yoga in the Park moves back out to the McKinely Park Rose Garden on April 2.

  32. Make tax day a little more enjoyable by taking in the Rivercats Home Opener on April 15
  33. Find some unique treasures at the 1st Annual Tahoe Park Flea Market
  34. Get serious about Spring Cleaning by visiting the new Container Store in Arden
  35. Leave your phone at home and take a book to the new Temple Coffee Midtown location at 24 &K (the floor is made out of pennies!)
  36. See Ellie Goulding live! The Delirium World Tour comes to Memorial Auditorium, April 5
  37. Pick up a new Spring outfit at one of our favorite midtown boutiques: Krazy Mary’s, Cuffs, Rire, Heart Boutique
  38. Attend a FiRSt Friday block party on the R Street Corridor
  39. Grab a group of girlfriends and make some of your own art at a local Paint Nite

  40. Take a Kickboxing class at 9Round when it opens at 19 & P streets, later this Spring.
  41. You don’t need a museum to see art, take a stroll through downtown/midtown and view some of Sacramento’s incredible street art.
  42. Open the sun roof in your car, or roll the top down on your convertible and take a drive out to the Delta. Pack a picnic lunch and eat it by the water.
  43. Treat yourself to Chocolate for Breakfast on April 23 at Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates.
  44. Instead of traveling to a galaxy far, far away, head to the Sacramento Zoo on April 30th to meet your favorite Star Wars characters and may the forest be with you.
  45. Sip your way through 24 El Dorado Wine Country Wineries during Passport 2016 on April 8th & 9th and April 16th & 17th.
  46. Let your geek flag fly at this Light Sword Battle at Fremont Park, May 4.
