FRESHbash is This Saturday!
By Danielle Ball
I know I’m guilty of it, and you probably are too. Pinning hundreds of images for treats I’ll never bake, parties I’ll never throw, and outfits I’ll never wear. Now there’s a solution, at least for the party aspect. FRESHbash, held this Saturday at Beatnik Studios, is a local event, focusing on design, innovation, and the perfect party.
The event first took place last year, when four local businesses collaborated on a small cocktail party. The venture quickly grew, and this year promises to be an even bigger celebration of local talent, and above all, a good time.
I had a chance to ask a few questions of Hailey Yeager, Owner of Two Roads Event Co., and Co-Founder of FRESHbash. Here’s what she had to say about this phenomenal party;
Danielle Ball: How would you describe the party?
Hailey Yeager: It’s the best combination of a rad art gallery, a creative workshop and an incredible party. I love that you can experience this event from all angles. You can drink it, taste it, touch it, dance to it. It’s pop-up art portraying our take on the modern event. And we’re hopeful that it will change the way that our attendees see things– change the way that they approach their work, or their wedding, or their creative aspirations.
DB: What are you most excited for this year?
HY: There are so many epic surprises that we don’t want to spoil for our attendees, but the pre-bash beer garden is going to be a highly stylized space featuring live music by Cover Me Badd, beer flights, beer-ice cream floats, and bites by the Federalist, plus adult coloring (if you don’t know what that is you’ve gotta come party with us). Morgan of Creating Lovely and Celebrations Party Rentals has really focused on making this space spectacular. And I’m also really pumped for The Unicorn Hair Experience by Alchemy Salon and With Grace & Love Events, featuring champagne and live-spun cotton candy cocktails and the coolest hair chalk art you’ve ever seen.
DB: Why did you pick Sacramento as the venue for FRESHbash?
HY: The fresh founders are all Sacramento residents, and felt that the talent in Sacramento far exceeded its reputation. The designers and artisans in this community are really impressive, and we love giving them a venue to really shine and showcase their work alongside vendors from all over Northern California.
DB: What’s next?
HY: We have tons of exciting plans in the works for FRESHbash that primarily focus on expanding the community. How fabulous would it be if you could travel to or move to any major city in the U.S. knowing that you have a fresh family there to support you and your creative business? Or if a bride could look up a fresh chapter in any major city and know that she had access to the nation’s most talented and design-forward vendors? There are so many possibilities for the fresh community and the bash, and we’re thrilled that so many amazing event industry innovators have already partnered with us and have committed to making the fresh community the incredible source of inspiration it is today and will continue to be.
I’m really looking forward to getting my hair chalked and sipping on cotton candy cocktails! I hope you’ll join me on Saturday, March 12th at 5:30pm. Tickets can be purchased here and the first 150 attendees get a sweet swag bag. As a special treat for GOTG readers, use code FRESHideas to save $10 on the ticket price!
