SO What do we really want for Valentine’s Day ? We love pretty things and thoughtfulness, deliciousness and most importantly…your time. Here are what some of our writers have to say about a perfect Valentine’s Day.
Chantel Elder: One year my husband bought me three of the longest stemmed tulips I have ever seen. We made a slightly more elaborate dinner than usual together and I sipped wine and he drank his favorite beer – we listened to music in our tiny kitchen while we cooked. It was so simple and still one of my favorites. A Night in on Valentine’s Day is our tradition.
Brianna Nathan: Food is the way to my heart. Cured meats to-go from Block Butcher Bar + baguette from Estelle’s Patisserie. Put together a charcuterie plate back at your place, pour some whiskey, and V-Day is a total success. No crowds, completely relaxed night, and the protein/carb combo means lots of, ahem… endurance.
Amy Thoma: A bouquet of succulents after a hike, followed by a meal at One Speed and some wine.
Jamee Villa: Heart shaped pizza from Luigi’s with good wine, it’s been our tradition for 6 years!
Lisa Murphy: A night with good friends and good food watching bad tv.
