The Dress Code Campaign: August 4-15

By Robin Swanson

Attention ladies!  Starting on Monday, August 4th, we have a unique opportunity to serve those who have served our country. Operation “Dress Code,” a project supporting CalVet’s Women’s Summit, is kicking off a clothing drive of new and ever-so-gently used professional attire for female veterans making the transition back into the civilian workforce.

Order a blouse or suit online that was the wrong size and you never bothered to return it? Have a purse, briefcase or necklace that isn’t quite right for you? By donating it to any of the locations listed below, you can give back to those who have given us so much.

Having grown up in a military family, I had the honor of knowing many of the hard-working women who have served our country. I can’t think of a better and more fun way to give just a little something back.

Please join me in making this a success by donating your professional clothes, accessories and shoes. Let’s help our female veterans walk into civilian job interviews feeling like a million bucks!
