thumbnailerBy now you’ve heard that GOTG and PWeekly have launched the 5th annual Sacramento Most Eligible Bachelor and Bachelorette (#SMEBB) contest.

What you might have missed is that we’re partnering (5th year in a row!) with WEAVE (Facebook,Twitter), which is the primary provider of crisis intervention services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Sacramento County.

100% of the proceeds from SMEBB 2014 will go directly to WEAVE. That’s right – not after we pay for this and that – but ALL $$$ will go to WEAVE’s annual “Walk A Mile In Her Shoes” (WAM) event on April 27, which features over 600 local men wearing high heels to raise awareness and funds against domestic violence and sexual assault. That’s because we call in every favor under the sun to get the space, photographer, DJ, etc for free/in-kind donations.

There’s a couple of ways you can help WEAVE…

  • thumbnailerDonate to our WAM team comprised of #SMEBB alumni.
  • Attend the guest bartender night with #SMEBB alumni Colin Roe, Nathan Udy and Patrick Harbison at The Trocadero on Sunday, March 30 from 2:00-6:00pm. RSVP here. It’s literally the only reason you should ever leave the grid to head to Roseville.

So open your hearts – and your wallets – as we help one of Sacramento’s best organizations help local women get back on their feet.
