Grange's New Event Concept is "Scandalously" Good

The Grange (921 J Street), which is located in the beautiful Citizen Hotel, is one of our favorite bar/restaurants. So we were psyched when we heard they had launched a new event concept: the Scandal Series.

Here’s the concept: The Grange is hosting monthly cocktail events leading up to Midtown Cocktail Week in August.

They’ll all have a different theme depending on whatever timely holiday or spirit we’re celebrating. The events are free, and guests are encouraged to dress up (they’ll be awarding “best dressed” at each event with an enticing prize…). The Scandal Series is held in their “secret” bar above the lobby that’s normally used for private events. It’s a really cool space with a speakeasy vibe, complete with red walls and lots of leather.

Their next event is tomorrow, March 16, and they’re calling it “St. Tardi Gras” – celebrating a late Mardi Gras and St. Patricks day all in one! Here’s the line up:

  • 6:00pm – Doors open
  • 6:30pm – Performance from the high school jazz band “Ten ’til Midnight.”
  • 7:30pm – New Orleans dancers perform.
  • 8:00pm – DJ Katz starts his set.

They’ll be pouring New Orleans and St. Patrick’s Day inspired cocktails until midnight. Food from the Grange will also be available for purchase.

RSVP for the event here, and be sure to like Scandal Bar on Facebook here!
