Update: Sacramento Airport [Definitely] Has Soul

UPDATE: Sacramento definitely has soul! According to Sacramento Press, “The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors amended its previous vote in order to accept the agreement between Old Soul Co. and SSP, a company that owns and operates food concessions at airports, which gives Old Soul a prime location in airport Terminal B.” Congrats to Old Soul and to everyone who helped make it a reality!
We’re one step closer…
Last night, the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors said they would reconsider whether or not Old Soul can operate a coffee shop in the new international terminal at the airport (set to open in late 2011). We’re not opposed to corporations or national chains, but we love our local eateries – and Old Soul is one of the city’s best!
The Supervisors are expected to take the matter up again on October 26. If you want to help this great/local business, sign their petition – nearly 1,300 signatures already!
