Lobbyists Launch Toy Drive to Benefit Local Kids

By Sherri McCarthy

toy_driveWhen it comes to helping  bring a smile to a child, it doesn’t matter whether your cause is tax reform, environmental protection, job creation or school funding.  In the spirit of the holiday season, a group of local lobbyists initiated a toy drive in the hope of lifting the spirits of some children whose lives are shattered either through abuse or neglect.

Lobbyists, legislative staffers and anyone in the communications/political world are asked to donate new, unwrapped toys, games, books, and puzzles  for kids  between the ages of 1 and 17.  All items collected will benefit the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento (www.crhkids.org), a group that is helping kids and their families here in our local community.

Toys can be dropped off at the American Chemistry Council office, 1121 L St, Suite 609 until December 17.  For any questions, call 916-448-2581.
